Super-efficient EC motors as standard

BOSS™ Copperad fan convectors are fitted with super-efficient EC motors as standard, which reduce energy usage by an average of 61% across the range. The savings are particularly noticeable at low speeds where standard AC motors are at their least efficient. EC motors conform to the targets set out in building regulations for maximum SFP – specific fan power. This is a measure of efficiency that relates to the power drawn by the fan motor to the airflow generated. The regulations say the SFP must be below 0.6 – BOSS™ Copperad Fan Convectors achieve 0.36.
